Training For Today’s Dance Industry

Central School of Ballet is delighted to welcome you to attend our fourth Research and Scholarship Day. At this event we will hear from dance industry leaders about how the profession is changing and what is needed from dancers.

With presentations and opportunities for questions and discussion, topics will range from representations of gender, versatility of skillsets, qualities needed for diverse repertoire and how to meet choreographer’s needs.

Please note that due to the nature of the content being discussed, this event is open to dance professionals, artists and educators only. It is not suitable for students.

Together we will explore the question: What should training be preparing dancers for now?

The event will run from 13:00-16:30, followed by a drinks reception.
