US DHHS SAMHSA Facilitator workshop is a career path development program assisting other individuals and their families with self-managed wellness, recovery, and crisis intervention or crisis prevention life skills. It is a peer-to-peer specialized program that provides informed solutions for career workforce development, leading to employment within a variety of military and civilian organizations, social services, mental health organizations, hospitals, workforce development education, and detention centers. These wellness plans expand to non-mental health services, often integrated into chronic pain management, physical disabilities, and youth and senior care programs.
All workshops focus on shared-experience led by Peer Facilitators with Level I & II US DHHS SAMHSA curriculum.
Our core curriculum is branded as Courage to Change (C2C). It is a holistic approach founded on the principles of physical, mental, and spiritual wellness, C2C programs specialize in sharing the journey of healing and wholeness through Peer Services.
Courage to Change Level II: 24-Hour (3 days) Facilitator Career Course
Curriculum includes:
- Safety & Suicide Prevention
- The Role of Grief & Forgiveness for Trauma
- Addressing Domestic Violence
- What is Post Traumatic Stress Injury (PTSI)
- What is Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
IMPORTANT INFORMATIONTo register for this training, the following is required:
1) The Courage to Change Level 1 prerequisite course has been completed.
2) Register here on Eventbrite for Courage to Change Level 2.
Please note: The above items must be completed before 5 days before the class begins.
A minimum of 6 participants is needed to offer the training; otherwise, the class will be rescheduled.
