Train to Pakistan

Based on a Novel by Khushwant Singh

Translated by- Usha Mahajan

Dramatized by- Dr. Suman Kumar

Directed By- Amar Sah

Set against the tumultuous backdrop of India's Partition in 1947, "Train to Pakistan" is a haunting and poignant play that explores the human cost of violence,

displacement, and communal hatred.

In the small town of Mano Majra, a diverse community of Muslims, Sikhs, and Hindus has coexisted for generations. But as the country teeters on the brink of

independence, ancient tensions simmer and eventually boil over.

At the center of the maelstrom is Jagat Singh, a charismatic local badmaash (rogue) with a penchant for trouble, who finds himself entangled in a complex web of love, loyalty, and survival. As trains carrying refugees become a grim symbol of the nation's fragmentation, Jagat's fate becomes intertwined with the destiny of a nation.

Will Mano Majra's fragile harmony survive the onslaught of history? Can love and humanity prevail amidst bloodshed and betrayal?
