Are you looking for an effective maths intervention programme that one of your team can deliver?
White Rose Maths are thrilled to be offering training to teaching assistants, enabling these valuable team members to deliver our high-quality maths intervention programme in your school in the style of small group tutoring.
Our tutoring programme has positively impacted many schools we have worked with, and we now want to benefit more schools by sharing our knowledge wider. Drawing from our amazing bank of resources and incredible maths minds, we have developed a 15-hour programme of intervention techniques specifically for teaching assistants, with full 'Train the Tutor' training providing the skills they require to deliver maths intervention confidently.
During our ‘Train the Tutor’ training sessions, we will explore:
-The White Rose Maths approach
-The logistics of the programme and how to select pupils
-How to get the most out of the sessions
-How to meet the needs of all pupils
-How to evidence impact
You will be provided with:
-Our Core intervention programme
-Our low-stakes assessment quizzes
-Practical games to support the programme
-Training on the Teaching for Mastery approach
-Training on how to enable and extend pupils
-An example mini-intervention session
-A mathematical manipulatives pack for each tutor
As part of the training package, an expert White Rose Maths tutor will become your point of contact to help with any queries ongoing. You will also receive up to five implementation or support conversations via Zoom to ensure you maximise the programme benefits and impact.
To become a partner school, your maths lead will need to join your teaching assistant(s) in attending a two-day face-to-face training event, as follows:
-Wednesday 8 June 2022
-Thursday 9 June 2022
Cost: £2,500 (+ VAT) for the maths lead and up to 5 teaching assistants*
