All Aboard! EBRPL, Greater Baton Rouge Model Railroaders/Old Hickory Train Museum, and TCA Louisiana Chapter invite your family to Train Day at the Library on Saturday, May 2, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., at the Main Library at Goodwood. Celebrating a hobby well over a century old, Train Day will feature an array of operatingmodel train layouts. Steam and diesel locomotives will pull freight and passenger trains through miniature landscapes, filled with houses, town scenes, and more!
A Train Market will feature vendors from around the state, displaying available trains, cars, and accessories in an assortment of sizes. A feature of the market includes the ability for you to bring in your trains to learn more about them from knowledgeable model train experts. Information on the hobby of model railroading, along with where to go for more trains, clubs, and activities, will be available for the public. Displays of LEGO models and intricate craftsman HO building models will delight both young and old. Door prizes for the children will be announced every few minutes! This event promises to fun-filled journey for everyone into the hobby of model railroading!
