Meet new people, challenge yourself on trails, and skip the travel logistics. Join us on July 11th for our 3rd trail run field trip!
About this Event

We are excited for you to join us! Please RSVP by July 6th.

Enjoy some mid-summer trail running in some classic western MA wilderness. Whether you live in the city and are looking to mix it up, or you frequent the rugged terrain of the Green and White Mountains, we encourage you to join us at Mount Tom on July 11th. We are offering coach bus service from Boston, MA, over to Mount Tom State Park, where we will guide runners through two different route distances (TBD). Take advantage of this opportunity to learn more or expand your trail running experience, demo new products, and connect with new people!

Getting there:

There are two options for attendees:

1. Meet at Marathon Sports Boston (671 Boylston Street, Boston, MA) at 7:15 AM. We will take a coach bus to our destination. The Bus leaves at 7:30 AM. The Bus has charging outlets and restrooms. We will provide water, snacks, and Therabody Recovery Boots. Our bus will leave Mount Tom by 2:30 PM, returning to Boston at 5:00 PM.

Or

2. Meet us at Mount Tom (exact location TBD) by 9:15 AM.

The run:

This is a trail run experience, not a race. As such, we will make stops at viewpoints and emphasize maintaining a conversational pace. However, these trails are challenging, and descents and ascents will require extra focus. Our goal is to provide a space where you can:

  1. Meet new people
  2. Run without worrying about getting lost
  3. Receive guidance from experienced trail runners
  4. Test out new products

We offer two distance groups. Please note that while there is no specific pace for each group, to complete the longer course within the allotted time, you will need to maintain a faster-than-hiking pace on the flats. We expect many ascents and descents to be walked. If you are unsure, both groups run the first few miles together, and you can make that decision after you see what pace you can maintain.

Long course

Short Course

Each course will be led by experienced trail guides. We will have sweepers and leaders for each group, in addition to course marking, to ensure safety and that no one gets lost!

What we are offering:

  • Coach bus transportation from the Boston area.
  • Product demos
  • Guided trail running on a marked course
  • Lunch as well as snacks and a water stop. We will attach an order form to your RSVP.

What you should pack:

Essential

  • An extra pair of dry shoes and socks
  • Running shoes. We strongly recommend one with a trail outsole, but will provide demos if you don’t have one. Regardless, please show up in running shoes and running attire.

Strongly Recommended

  • A lightweight running pack or belt to carry phone gels, and snacks
  • Anti-chafe such as body glide
  • A small windbreaker or extra layer
