The City of Cañon City and Fremont Adventure Recreation invite you to join us for a momentous ribbon cutting ceremony for Fremont County’s newest trail: Royal Cascade.Linking lower trail systems with the Royal Gorge Park trails, Royal Cascade begins 1.75 miles from the Tunnel Drive Trailhead, climbs 1,800 feet in elevation, and extends 3.6 miles to join Summit Trail near Fremont Peak.
A complimentary hay-ride shuttle will be available on a limited basis from the Tunnel Drive trailhead to the Royal Cascade trailhead for those who do not wish to walk or cycle to the trailhead. Cycling is encouraged, however. Refreshments will be served. Parking along Tunnel Drive will be limited - carpooling is encouraged.
