Take on OSMP’s Trails Challenge and start checking trails off your list with this moderate loop around the scenic North Fork and South Fork Shanahan trails. Along the way, you'll discover fascinating insights into land management and fire mitigation practices unique to this area. Ever wondered why we’re thinning trees or grazing cattle here? Now’s your chance to learn firsthand while immersing yourself in the beauty of Boulder’s natural wonders.
Hike Details: We'll cover around 4 miles with an elevation gain of about 800 feet, maintaining a moderate pace. Though we rate this hike as "moderate" for this series, be prepared for some rocky sections along the trail. Please bring weather-appropriate layers, water, and sturdy hiking footwear.
