Traditional Irish Music with Cairde

Join us for an hour of traditional Irish tunes at Henderson Library! Cairde (pronounced “kor-jah”, which means “friends” in Gaelic) met through a shared love of Irish traditional music, playing in slow sessions at the Irish Association of Manitoba. The depth of their friendship, the size of the group, and variety of instruments (penny whistle, fiddle, button accordion, mandolin, tenor banjo, guitar, bodhran) grew while playing a lively mix of reels, jigs, hornpipes and other spirited traditional tunes.
