Traditional Caribbean Christmas Cake Decorating
About this Event
Traditional Caribbean Christmas Cake Decorating is an in-person event for the local community.
About the event
Decorate a traditional rum-infused Caribbean fruit cake, also known as black cake, with marzipan and fondant icing.
Bring a little Caribbean tradition to your Christmas table with a cake you’ve decorated yourself.
Join Danielle at A.T. Patisserie for a relaxed Christmas cake decorating workshop. You’ll work on your own 7-inch Caribbean rum-infused fruit cake, also known as black cake: a rich, dark celebration cake made with rum-soaked fruit.
Your cake will be baked and soaked beforehand, ready for you to cover with marzipan & fondant and personalise. With step-by-step guidance, you’ll create delicate sugar flowers, practise a piped border and add your own festive finishing touches.
Choose classic white decorations or introduce soft touches of colour to make the design your own.
Come with friends, make it a festive date or join us on your own. No previous decorating experience is needed, and you’ll leave with a finished Christmas cake to share with family or give as a special gift.
