Trache CEN study day 2026: Tracheostomy Across Pathways
About this Event
Who is this course suitable for?
- SLTs working with patients with a tracheostomy (paeds and adults)
- SLTs who are interested in learning more about the management of people with a tracheostomy across different pathways
What will be covered?
This day will include:
- Tracheostomy cannulation: the ICU perspective
- Ward step down and ICU Transition
- Preparing to discharge with a tracheostomy
- Neuro-Rehabilitation with a tracheostomy
- Community care and upskilling
- The lived experience: life with and after trache
- Preparing and training for home with a trache (peads)
- Opportunity to reflect and problem-solve
Other useful things to know:
- Lunch will not be provided. There are cafes and restaurants located nearby.
- The venue is in a central location and within a 3 minute walk from Euston station.
- The closest tube stations are Euston, Euston Square and Warren Street.
