"Traces of a Thousand Years Left in the Fields and Woods of the Valley," is the title of a talk, to be presented by avocational archeologist and Shenandoah Valley historian Mike Kehoe, as the next quarterly program of the Shenandoah County Historical Society, on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.The program will include: prehistoric sites in Shenandoah County and nearby areas; today’s understanding of the collecting of artifacts versus earlier practices; an overview of where prehistoric sites are likely to be found; and information about a village site on land Kehoe now owns that connects to historian Samuel Kercheval’s work.
At St. Paul’s Heritage Center, 106 S. High St., Edinburg, Va., at 7:00 p.m. Free admission, the public is invited. Handicapped accessible; parking available at the Shentel lot. Refreshments following.
