Tr4NSIENTS
Tr4nsients is the electronic project of Alex C. and focuses on the seemingly infinite maelstrom of ephemeral details and events contained within each passing moment. Well known for his involvement and organisation of the Ambient Leeds events, his steady and considered approach to digital audio production also veers into the territory of minimal and restrained rhythm, sometimes interspersed with detached vocal monologues, lending a foreboding and eschatonic feel.
Tinges of a more sober Boards of Canada, pushing up against moody soundscapes with gothic leanings, characterise Tr4nsients’ live sets. Fans of deep and moody music will find much to enjoy in Tr4nsients live work.
MATTROBSON
Much maligned locally for his no-skills-first approach to electronic music, Robson is the quintessential non-artisan proletarian producer where energy and enthusiasm for sound bound forth, unburdened by talent or the niceties of any presumed sense of a “correct” or prescribed creative practice.
Complex, proggy and confused rhythmic structures that borrow heavily from hip hop and electro are bent and broken, with flourishes of occasional dark and plaintive melodies into meandering musical narratives that, on the one hand evoke the kind of audio storytelling of Autechre, whilst also angling towards a more harmonious take on electronic music that nods every once in a while to more traditional compositional structures.
SAM MITCHELL
Sam Mitchell is a Leeds based composer who works with analogue and digital electronics, generative music and found sound. He has worked with music for film, dance and acousmatic diffusion.
Performing with a modular set up, expect a range of music from chaotic granular sounds, to electroacoustic drones, and a couple of more rhythmic pieces, thrown in for good measure, too.

Measured Lag is committed to making quality underground and experimental music accessible to all.
Everyone is welcome and although we would encourage attendees at events to make a contribution towards the cost of the event, on the evening, nobody will ever be turned away for lack of funds.
