Toys - Playthings from the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s Tuesday, June 18, 10:30 - 11:30 am
Remember jacks, Twister, kick the can and Operation? Guest speakers Kate Roberts, Senior Exhibit Developer for the Minnesota Historical Society, and Stephen Yogi Rueff, co-founder, curator and managing director of Super Monster City! travelling exhibitions will take us down memory lane with a talk on toys including the era’s most memorable playthings. Come and share memories of your favorite toys and if you still have a childhood toy feel free to bring it along.
Senior Socials are held the third Tuesday of each month and are co-sponsored by Longfellow/Seward Healthy Seniors and Minneapolis Community Education. A Nurse Is In/Blood Pressure Clinic is also offered. No registration necessary. Suggested donation is $1.00.
