Townes Fest returns to Heartwood Soundstage in Gainesville, Florida on Sunday, March 5th from 1-7 pm. Join us for an afternoon of folk music celebrating one of the best songwriters of all time, Townes Van Zandt. The event is FREE admission! If you are able to donate, we are raising money for The Wombat Radio, Gainesville's local radio station highlighting local musicians.
This benefit concert features full bands and singer/songwriters. There will be plenty of food, arts, and craft vendors to keep you occupied all afternoon! Come for a while and hang out!
Townes Van Zandt's songs have endured the test of time and continue to captivate fans across the globe with such greats hits as "If I Needed You," Pancho and Lefty," and "I'll Be Here In The Morning," among others. Van Zandt's audience has only grown since his untimely passing. He was posthumously inducted into the Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2012 and Austin City Limits Hall of Fame in 2015.
