Join the Victorian Carriage company and Ken Rich for a walking tour of the southern portion of the town. We will walk on Jennie Wade’s 1863 Baltimore street. We will visit the houses were Jennie Wade lived and are associated with her Story. We will examine the accounts of several of the civilians of Gettysburg that lived on Baltimore Street. We will discuss the existing structures and what the town looked like in 1863. We will describe the events of July 1863 and how those towns’ people remembered them.
The tour will start at the Jennie Wade House and walk several blocks on Baltimore Street. On the return we will also visit the site of her house on Breckenridge Street. The Tour will end at the Jennie Wade house.
This is a leisurely paced walk… No hiking… on paved roads…wheelchairs are manageable. The walking tour will last two hours.
