Let's talk: Mental Health, Substance Use and Homelessness in our community and how it impacts everyone.
About this Event

When individual and community needs go unresolved, everyone feels the impact.

Consider these real-life impacts on Yuma County:

• A business owner who finds a once stellar employee missing work after becoming addicted to opioids

• The young adult dealing with depression and the added pressures of social media

• A father of two young children struggling to find substance treatment for his wife

• Parents struggling to get their child to school regularly due to not having a stable home

• The repeat offender revolving through our J*il system because they lack resources to address their bipolar disorder

• Parents of a young teen seeking guidance and support for their son’s addiction

About this event

When individual and community needs go unresolved, we are often faced with added challenge. For our communities much of the burden falls to our local law enforcement, judicial, healthcare and social service agencies. No one agency or individual can solve this alone. Complex issues require collective effort and leadership. As a community, Yuma is recognized around the state for finding collaborative efforts to solve complex issues. To achieve the best outcomes for our community we need you at the table. Together we will learn about efforts and resources already underway / available, while also working towards new innovative solutions to identified unmet needs.

Who Should Attend?

Community leaders, elected officials, law enforcement and judicial leaders, educators, employers, healthcare workers, social service agencies, governmental and support agencies, or anyone in our community who has been personally impacted.
