Join Melanie Wrigley, National Trust resident ecologist, for a gently-paced walk over part of the north Kent Downs National Landscape, an aspiring UNESCO Cross-Channel GeoPark – a Geosite. Mel will reveal the wonderful plants, animals, rocks and chalk cliffs landscape as you walk from the White Cliffs Visitor Centre across the cliff top landscape to the South Foreland Lighthouse. There will be a one-hour stop for lunch, where you can bring your own packed lunch or visit Mrs Knott's Tearoom (please bring a means to pay), after which we will walk back across the inland tracks through the reverted arable grassland and enjoy nature as we go. You may even see a raven, kestrel or red-billed chough on our way back to Langdon Cliffs. Free event, normal parking charges apply.
