Welcome to TOWER OF SONG, the songwriters’ night with a different monthly theme and musical style or other challenge to get your creative juices flowing. You don't have to stick to the theme, but please note our NO COVERS policy...all a cunning plan to encourage your songwriting!
This month's event will be on the SECOND Thursday of the month, due to the first being 1 January...which we thought might be a bit too soon after NYE.
To kick off your new year songwriting in style (and theme!), we invite you to perform a song you've written on the theme of JANUARY and/or ANCIENT MONUMENTS and in the style of FOLK, which also incorporates CALL & RESPONSE.
(There were ties in the audience's selection of both theme and style this time, hence all the creative prompts!)
You can take inspiration from both or neither of the above -
off-theme original songs are also welcome, as are non-performing audience members who just want to watch.

Doors are at 8.00pm and you can sign up for a slot until performances start at 8.30pm.
Entry is free and PA and sound engineer are provided, so just bring your own instruments and amplification (and microphone if you'd prefer to use your own) if required.
We want to keep the space as safe as possible, so please avoid attending if you have (or suspect you might have) COVID-19 or anything else of a nasty and contagious nature.
