Tower of Power Tribute Band

The Tower of Power Tribute Band, led by trumpeter Gerard Ahlgren, is a Minneapolis-based ensemble that faithfully recreates the iconic R&B and funk of the original Tower of Power, using nearly identical instrumentation. Gerard, who holds a Master’s in Music Performance with a Jazz Studies focus from McNally Smith College of Music, brings extensive experience to the group, including work with the History Theatre and Old Log Theater. His broad training in jazz, blues, Latin, fusion, and classical music enables him to expertly lead this talented ensemble.
