music. Formed in Oakland in 1968, the legendary band
is celebrated for its explosive horn section, tight rhythms
and high-energy live performances. Blending funk, soul,
jazz and R&B, Tower of Power created timeless hits
including “You’re Still a Young Man,” “What Is Hip?” and
“So Very Hard to Go,” earning a devoted global following
and influencing generations of musicians. Known for their
precision musicianship and infectious grooves, the band
has also collaborated with icons such as Santana, Otis
