About this Event

In this month's seminar we will be joined by:

  • Erinch Sahan, Doughnut Economics Action Lab; and
  • Bruno Roche, ONE Society

Moderated by Professor Marya Besharov, Academic Director of the Skoll Centre, the speakers will discuss how businesses can be changed from within to prioritise purpose. Drawing on experience using the DEAL approach alongside other frameworks, the speakers will discuss tools and strategies for redefining the mission, culture, and operations of businesses. The session will draw on both research and practice, offering actionable insights for creating sustainable, purpose-driven change. Join us to learn how to reshape your business for long-term impact.

Erinch has also worked at Procter & Gamble as a market strategy manager, established a furniture business and worked for Australia's aid programme. Erinch is a board member of the Social Enterprise World Forum and teaches sustainable value chains at Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership. He holds degrees in finance and law, and an honorary doctorate from Oxford Brookes University.

As former Chief Economist at Mars Incorporated, he led its development in collaboration with Oxford Saïd Business School before establishing it as a non-profit platform. He co-founded Centers for the Economics of Mutuality at Oxford (UK), CEIBS (China), and Erasmus (NL). He launched ONEsociety in 2024 to expand the paradigm beyond business through management education reform, policymaking, and urban applications. Co-editor of "Putting Purpose into Practice" and co-author of "Completing Capitalism," both translated into Chinese, Bruno is a Senior Fellow at Wharton and Rotterdam, a snr advisor to BCG, and a UN Global Compact PRME board member.
