A tour of a new facility, The Way Station: Health & Hygiene Center that will offer clinical services, restroom, shower, and laundry facilities, provided by Unity Care NW as well as medical respite, for patients referred from PeaceHealth as well as case management services from the Opportunity Council and pathways to stable housing.Don Cook, The Way Station Health & Hygiene Manager, brings over 20 years of experience at Unity Care NW and a lifelong dedication to service. As Outreach & Enrollment Supervisor, he managed a team that helps patients apply for affordable health plans through the ACA. He is passionate about addressing the barriers faced by individuals without homes and is excited about the potential of The Way Station to provide essential medical and behavioral health care. Respectful, understanding, and motivated to help others, Don excels at working with people and is skilled at resolving conflict with empathy — skills that will prove invaluable in his new role as The Way Station Health & Hygiene Manager
