Tour of the Historic Providence Art Club
Thursday, February 23 at 5:30pm
Free and Open to the Public, Reservations Required
Established in 1880 to promote art culture, the Providence Art Club is one of the nation's oldest arts organizations. The first such institution to be jointly organized by women and men, the Club also counts noted African American landscape painter Edward Mitchell Bannister among its founders. One hundred and forty three years on, the Art Club continues its art-focused mission through exhibitions, education, and its signature camaraderie. Join Art Club gallery manager on Thursday, February 23 at 5:30pm for a free tour of the Art Club to learn more about its history, architecture, and more.
This event is free and open to all, but space for this tour is limited to 20 guests and advance registration via Eventbrite is required. Please only reserve tickets if you are sure you will attend. The tour is being held in conjunction with the Art Club's "Thirsty Thursday" event on February 23 from 4-7pm. The Club's Angell's Lane Bar will be open for the evening and light refreshments will be served.
