The Tour of Anchoragene one of many cross-country ski marathons in North America. 3 ski distances of 25, 40, and 50 kilometers are available in both Freestyle and Classic techniques. We also welcome Fatbike racers and will host a 50K, 40K, and 25K race. In each race, participants range from competitive elite athletes to recreational athletes just challenging themselves to get to the finish line.
Important Course Update:
Due to the challenging weather conditions this winter, we have made the decision to change the course from a point to point race to a multiple-lap race held at Kincaid Park. We did not make this decision lightly and have been eagerly watching the 10 day forecast and have been considering all options. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we make these changes.
The new course will consist of multiple laps of a 5km loop, with the biking portion taking place on a slightly longer loop. As we continue to make snow daily, we are optimistic that we may be able expand the loop in the coming weeks. We will host the traditional distances of 25k, 40k, and 50k events for both cross country skiing and fat biking.
The NSAA team is committed to making the post race atmosphere at the Tour of Anchorage festive and fun! We’re planning to have a hot tub (circa 2015) on location for racers to relax and soak away their sore muscles. There will also be a beer garden with a variety of local craft brews and food trucks serving up delicious eats. We will have music and entertainment to kepp the party going.
