Tough Week? Beat Something Up!

Science is showing what the ancients knew a long time ago, that suppressed anger leads to depression. And we know unresolved emotions eventually manifest into physical health conditions like chronic paint and fibromyalgia.
Epigenetics look at how these unresolved traumas can actually be passed down from one generation to the next until someone in the lineage is ready to feel it.
If you struggle with your anger and need something more gritty, this might be the workshop for you. We encourage unlady-like behavior - feel free scream your scariest scream, and fuck that canvas up!
We will be outdoors for this activity. You will be provided with safety glasses, a baseball bat, a grommeted canvas sheet and cushion to place behind it. We are going to secure our canvas to a tree, or place on the ground, and using washable tempera paints and limestone mixing medium, you can smash, punch, and claw your way to a calmer nervous system while also creating unique art.
Bring a waterbottle and wear old clothing. No plastic ponchos will be provided, to reduce our use of single use plastics, but the materials are washable so your clothes will come clean. We will have water and washclothes to wash off what youre able to, on site.
