About this Event
Join Ezra Huebner, Resource Conservationist at NRCS, and Marisa Mancillas, Wetland Scientist at ODOT, to learn how to identify members of the most exciting plant family— Poaceae—in the magical vernal pools at Whetstone Savana. All skill levels are welcome! The group will learn basic grass terminology, morphological traits, and how to identify grasses by groups (e.g., tribes, and genera). And...who knows...there may be a secret grass game as well! 🌿The group will meet at the Whetstone gate off Truax Road in Central Point (42.418336, -122.917882) at 9am. For more information please contact field trip coordinator, Katelyn Detweiler, at [email protected] or 215 872-6365.
