TOTALLY FREE ACTING WORKSHOP

Have you ever dreamed of an exciting career as a professional actor and to some day star in a Television Series; a Commercial an Industrial film or on a Big Broadway stage or even in a Major Motion Picture. Maybe you've been struggling out there for awhile trying to finally make something happen but there is something that is holding you back from finally getting to that brass ring. Well The Chicago Actors Studio one of the oldest and most recommended acting training centres with countless success stories and with industry affiliations in New York Los Angeles Atlanta and other major venues is once again offering this rare and completely FREE workshop to help you get started on that journey on the right foot. This workshop class is also designed to help those that have been in it for awhile but due to a lack of access or exposure to the right information contacts and training and most importantly support you’re still struggling to make that dream a reality.

The reason we hold these special workshops is just one of several ways of our saying "thank you" and “paying it forward” giving back to the artistic community here in the Chicagoland area and showing our appreciation and our dedication to the performing arts. We only do this workshop about twice a year but due to the overwhelming response several months ago we had to turn away a considerable amount of people that wished to attend. So we are holding it once again here on Sunday March 30th.

The staff of teachers here at CAS are comprised of award winning actors award winning directors and other professionals that actually work in many areas of the business even some presently working in Hollywood flying in to contribute their special talents and sharing valuable experiences right here at The Chicago Actors Studio between their hectic  film and TV schedules. As a matter of fact this event will be mainly spear-headed by our artistic director and co-star in the popular TV Series "Chicago PD" plus has appeared in many motion pictures commercials industrials; voice overs etc. and has worked along side of such names as Tom Cruise Paul Newman Gene Hackman Steven Seagal Carl Amari Michelle Burke Jason Beghe Patrick Flueger Ashley Judd and too many more to list. This workshop will be covering many areas such as Scene Study; Improvisation; Voice and Diction; Shakespeare; Auditioning; Cold Readings; Various On Camera Techniques such as the basics how to be magnetic on screen along with the crucial skills and tips of Self-Taped Auditions; The Ear Prompter; Headshots Resumes; Securing An Agent; Shakespeare; Demo Reels; Slate Videos; Sizzle Reels; Career Counselling; Marketing; Getting Into The Unions; and a whole lot more and yes as you can see a great deal dedicated to just How This Business Actually Works.

Now in the meantime lets list the SPECIAL RULES and CONDITIONS:

1) Admission to this event is primarily TOTALLY FREE!   2) You do not need a reservation to attend. All you have to do is show up and you will be admitted as space is available. So arrive early.    3) Because of the rarity and popularity of these events if you want to secure a reservation and be guaranteed a spot you can call (773)645)-0222 and make a small $10 per person reservation deposit by cash debit or credit card which you have the option to donate to our worthwhile special SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM or just have it REFUNDED BACK TO YOU when you show up on time. The reservation deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE if you make the reservation and do not show up on time or fail to attend all together therefore it will be automatically donated to the CAS special Scholarship Fund. 4) Everyone may have the opportunity to partake in exercises during this workshop but If you have a prepared monologue that you would like to perform and have evaluated or a cold reading you would like to do at this event there will be a small non-refundable $20 fee also donated our Scholarship Fund for recently discharged military veterans of our armed forces first responders and a host of miscellaneous special needs applicants Tell the person ahead of time when you first make your reservation AND remind whomever is checking you in at the door when you arrive that you would like this service. 5) All ages are invited and since the Chicago Actors Studio also has workshops for Kids ages 8yrs to 12yrs old and Teens classes 13yrs to 17yrs old Kids and Teens are more than welcomed and certainly invited to attend but should be accompanied by a parent or guardian to attend this special free workshop. 6) It is important to note as well that our signature basic skills AAAC Adult workshops are taught in three levels: Beginners Intermediate and Advanced Professional.

It should be needless to stress that this is an event that you really don't want to pass up. You have so much to gain and it’s FREE plus it may finally clear up so many misconceptions or rumors that may be holding you back from where you are to where you want to be.
