Hey Music Family,
I am absolutely thrilled to welcome back the incredible Alexandria Connolly to finally perform her special spotlight set on my first Friday of the month, November 6th!
Now, let's talk themes. The official vibe for the night is "Totally Chillin' In The Wicked '80s," which means all of our open-mic singers will be delivering pure 1980–1989 gold.
However, when Alexandria’s spotlight was originally scheduled back in August, her theme was "Hey, Hey, Hey, It's The '60s!" Since she missed her chance to blow us away back then, we aren't making her change a single thing.
So buckle up! We are featuring an incredible local powerhouse vocalist from Rhode Island who is the real deal—definitely not just window dressing. I'm having a major "proud director dad" moment getting to spotlight one of my very own artists from Gordon Michaels Productions.
Alexandria is no stranger to the Napoleon Room, and she has wowed us before, but this night will be extra special. This woman has absolute pipes—the kind of angel's voice that warms your heart and soul, and just might make you cry right into your cocktail. She is taking us on a total time machine back to the 1960s!
As for the rest of us? Myself included, we will be singing strictly '80s tracks. We are opening up the room to any song, from any genre, released between 1980 and 1989. People have been asking for an '80s night for two years, and it is finally happening!
To make sure our spotlight star can fully blow the roof off the place—and trust me, she will—we have to limit open-mic participants to one high-energy, uptempo song each. Normally I love to let you all croon a second tune, but we need to keep the energy electric and the schedule tight so nobody misses a single note of Alexandria's set!
The Game Plan:
• When: Friday, November 6th | 7:00 PM sharp to 10:00 PM (but we all know the party vibes don't stop there)
