About this Event
A queer love story between a body and itself. This live art performance converses with the body and its soul, delivering a tender insight into non-binary experience, expression, and the beauty in existing where the lines overlap.
Part of 5:100 exhibition week at SEESAW: celebrating Divided Culture's 5th anniversary, the CUSP residency and Greater Manchester's artistic diversity.
About the artist:
Maddie Maycock (they/them) is a non-binary visual and performance artist based in Manchester. Their work is an intersectional exploration into the non-binary experience, and currently focusses on the existence of non-binaryhood as a concept, and aims to expand on the language surrounding the non-binary experience through varying artistic methods.
As a multi-disciplinary artist, Maddie attempts to use whatever materials are necessary as tools for research and explorative play, resulting in vibrant, abstract, and multifaceted works of art and performance. (painting, illustrating, collage, poetry, theatre, dance, photography).
5:100 is made possible thanks to the Clothworkers Foundation and Salford CVS.
