We're entering autumn and that means it's time for Torsk Klub! We meet from September to April on the third Thursday of each month (though Thanksgiving changes things up some years!).
Agenda:
We socialize in the Troll Lounge from 5:30 to 6pm, honor the flags of Norway, Sweden, and the US, toast the delicious cod we're about to eat with some aquavit, dig into a delicious meal of poached cod drenched in butter, boiled potatoes and vegetable (and coffee and dessert!), and then have a brief presentation.
We also want to give back to our community. Each meeting, we collect clean, new socks to give to our unhoused neighbors, and we are hoping to work with the YWCA this year.
We welcome new members, but please RSVP so we have enough food! Torsk Klub is volunteer-run, so members do the set-up, cooking, serving, and clean up while having a great time socializing!
