Toronto Oratory 50th Anniversary Gala

This year is the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Toronto Oratory and to mark the occasion we have planned, among other things, a Gala Dinner on Thursday October 2, beginning at 6 pm.

Our venue is the Governor's Room at the Liberty Grand, a magnificent lakeside heritage site in walking distance from the Oratory. As well as excellent food and drink, of course, expect also some distinguished speakers (stay tuned for more details!), featured reminiscences of the first fifty years, and live music from the Tiffany jazz trio.

Above all it will be an occasion of thanksgiving and celebration in company with the Oratorian community and our seminarians, parishioners and friends. We aim to accommodate as many as possible, but don't hesitate: purchase your ticket now!

About the Venue:

Built in 1926, the Liberty Grand is one of Toronto’s few heritage complexes. This monumental waterfront property boasts three impressive grand ballrooms, decorated in a traditional early 1900’s elegance. With crystal chandeliers, iron-laced balconies, thirty-foot ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Lake Ontario, you will enjoy a luxurious feel of stately elegance. The Governor's Room boasts a grand oak staircase to the upper mezzanine which overlooks both the courtyard and the main dining area.
