The objective of this course is to familiarize the general dentist with biologic and clinical principles that will allow for a predictably successful outcome with non-surgical root canal therapy. This will be a comprehensive course covering topics including diagnosis, local anesthesia, isolation, shaping, cleansing, obturation, restoration, and management of odontogenic infections. Following completion of the course, participants should be able to:

- Accurately diagnose a patient’s chief complaint

- Understand canal morphology and understand successful endodontic treatment

- Use current research to gain better understanding of how to eliminate intracanal bacteria

- Understand why some endodontic cases fail to heal despite seemingly ideal endodontic treatment

Additionally, we will be presenting our file system which has revolutionized the rotary world! The files will be available during the hands-on portion of the class.

Dr. Mike Miyasaki

Dr. Michael A. Miyasaki, practices in Sacramento, CA, in a fee-for-service practice focused on providing comprehensive care for his patients which includes endodontic care. He began practicing 37 years ago and has been active in dental education for over 34 years conducting courses globally. He is also very active in new product development, and finds the clinical practice, combined with delivering education and being involved in development keep him excited about dentistry. Many of his courses are live patient courses focused on the services that will help his colleagues succeed in their practices, such as, dental implants, endodontics, occlusion, aesthetics, restorative, tooth movement, lasers and more. His goal is to share his experiences with his colleagues to make their learning faster by avoiding problems and delivering workflows which allow for easy implementation of new products and processes.
