Non-Profit Partnership:
This year we have partnered with Helping Hands Humane Society. Our goal with this partnership is to raise as much money as possible for the animal shelter, educate kids on proper pet care, and help show the community the importance of HHHS.
We are hosting a “Sponsor-thon”! What is a sponsor-thon you ask? Well, during the festival each food truck will be assigned one pet currently in the shelter. HHHS volunteers will put a poster board (with the pets information) along with a donation box in front of each truck (to the side of any order/pickup windows). The goal is to get each pet’s adoption fee sponsored via donations from the attendees. One adoption fee is $150, so if we get all 23 pets sponsored that will be a total of $3,450!
HHHS will also have a tent teaching kids proper pet care! HHHS volunteers will be onsite showing kids when dogs are approachable or not, how to feed and take care of dogs/cats, and the importance of animal vaccines and microchips.
HHHS will also have a small “gift shop” selling pet collars, toys, shirts and other items! All of this money goes right back to the animal shelter. Weather permitting, they will also provide microchipping onsite!
