The UUFT-Topeka Cemetery Tour/Picnic/Clean-up will take place Monday, October 14th, 10 am-2 pm. Lisa Sandmeyer, former Topeka Cemetery superintendent, is our tour guide for the morning. She has an extensive knowledge of the cemetery and its history and gives a great tour. We have asked for a tour of Mausoleum Row, a discussion of notable people who have been interred in the cemetery, and the pet cemetery. After the tour, we will enjoy a brown bag picnic on the grounds followed by a clean-up effort to thank the Cemetery for the tour and foster an ongoing relationship.
