In today’s dynamic world, businesses are continuously being disrupted. In this environment, it is getting harder for leaders to effectively guide their organizations. In fact, over half of the Fortune 500 companies have disappeared over the past decade because they simply could not keep pace with the market changes. Beyond the news headlines, there is also deep dissatisfaction within the remaining organizations. Surveys show that most employees are unhappy in their current position and are looking to change employers and careers. This situation calls into question the traditional approaches to leadership and underlines the need for new perspectives. Specifically, there is a growing trend away from a less directive and process-oriented leadership towards a more engaging and people-centric direction.
The Transformative Leadership Pre-Summit Workshops and Summit focuses on this trend at three distinct yet inter-related levels: Self-Leadership, Leading Others and Teams and Leading the Business. In terms of Self-Leadership, the Workshop and Summit consider what leaders can do on a personal level to develop and guide themselves to becoming more engaging and people centric. The Leading Others and Teams sessions explore the power to be gained from empowerment, accountability and engagement for individual employees and high-performance teams. The Business sessions incorporate major emerging trends such as AI and ESG and explore how transformative leaders are forging new business models and bold approaches to leading their organizations. One of the hallmarks of the transformative leadership is that many women are also at the forefront of this movement and they are bringing new thoughts and behaviours to light. As such, the pre-summit workshop and the summit favour their fresh perspectives and insights.
The contents of the Pre-Summit Workshop and the two days Summit culminate in the Women Top50 Global Awards organised and hosted by the Women Institute of Management (WIM). The programme envisages to create pathways for the development and empowering women leaders through various talent management initiatives, professional networking and continuous learning. This yearly event celebrates women from all nations who embody the essence of Transformative Leadership and its capacity to change our world for the better. In conjunction with Global Leadership Summit and the Women Top50 Awards, the organisers will also launch two distinctive executive leadership programmes for all potential leaders who are preparing to step up their career in leading organisations with its people to greater heights.
The Global Leadership Summit will also address some of the pressing agenda towards sustainable and continuous growth in a high-performance organisational culture. Promoting a balance of competent men and women i.e., greater diversity and inclusion that leads to effective and robust decision makings. Creating a working culture that prioritise diversity, equity, and inclusiveness where all individuals can thrive – a take away message from this Global Leadership Summit & Women Top50 Awards. Another initiative planned at this event is the Book Build Legacy, a CSR activity whereby each participant and speaker of the Global Leadership Summit and Women Top50 Awards will be encouraged to bring a minimum of 3 reading books for school children age between 7 to 17 years old to be dropped off at the Convention Hall. This is an effort to build a reading legacy amongst children in remote and rural school children and communities. An opportunity for participants to make a meaningful contribution to society while enhancing delegate experience and participation.
The Global Leadership Summit and the Women Top50 Global Awards will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 4th through 7th November 2024. We look forward to your participation and to a uniquely enriching and enlightening three days.
