TOP SHELF BAND BioThe "TOP SHELF" Band is a 3 piece power trio rock band that has been playing all over Havasu for many years. This band loves to have a good time and loves to see the crowd having as much fun as them. Their diverse set list ranges from Willie Nelson to Black Sabbath guaranteeing something for everyone on any given night. Here are a few fun facts to help you get to know the guys better...
The guitarist and founding member, Rich Navarrette (aka Uncle Rich), has been playing in bands in Havasu since 2005 which include "Classic Old School", "The AllNighterz", "Last Chance", and now , for the past 6 years "TOP SHELF".
Bass Guitar/Vocalist; Virgil Vendito has been in Havasu since it was founded (LOL). Virgil started playing music in the 6th grade in 1964. Through the years Virgil has been involved in many projects including the “Instrumental-psycho-folk-jazz” acoustic guitar trio “Zeet Rio” with his musical mentor and friend James Hurley, to being the utility man in the band “Dotz Machine” performing original and cover songs at regional events and local dive bars. Some of his other bands include "The Timid Knights", "October" and "SydeWynder". Not only is he an awesome bass player but hs is an incredible guitar player and sound engineer.
Drummer/Vocalist Steve Stancotti has been in Havasu 52 years playing in bands that included "Cold Sweat", "Phreebehre", "Badapple" and "RoadbBlock". He and Rich have also played in musical projects in the past. We are proud to also state that Steve is a Veteran who served our country proudly. Thanks for your service Steve.
Virgil and Steve have been playing music with Rich in "TOP SHELF" now for over a year and the chemistry is great. You can find these guys in action at all of the usual hangouts which have live music. They have gigs booked spring and summer and will be adding more dates/venues to their schedule so keep your eyes peeled. The "TOP SHELF" Band is also available for special events and private parties. Come on out and join them for a cocktail and a good time. Don't be afraid to call a shuttle at the end of the night!
