What happens when Singapore's best storytellers take the stage — and then pull up a chair next to you?
That's Top Shelf.
What's Your Story Slam (WYSS) — Singapore's premier live storytelling show — turns 7 this year. To mark seven years of sold-out storytelling events in Singapore, we're doing something we've never done before: bringing our best back to the stage, at an intimate new venue in the heart of Chinatown.
Top Shelf is a curated live storytelling experience featuring WYSS slam winners and Grand Slam alumni — the storytellers who've made rooms go quiet over seven years of shows. True, personal stories. Told live. No notes, no slides, no safety net.
Then — and this is new — the storytellers come to you. After the performances, each storyteller moves into the audience for intimate small-group conversations. Ask them what didn't make it into the story. What happened next. What it cost them. It's the closest thing to being inside the story yourself.

Since 2019, WYSS has been running sold-out storytelling shows in Singapore featuring true, personal stories told live by real people — professionals, creatives, leaders, and everyday humans with extraordinary stories. No scripts. No slides. Just stories that stay with you.
Top Shelf is the 7th anniversary celebration of WYSS — and a prelude to the WYSS Grand Slam at Singtel Waterfront Theatre, Esplanade, on 22 January 2027.
