Top Czech Violinist Pavel Šporcl in a Solo Concert

Join us for a rare evening presenting a top Czech classical violinist, Pavel Šporcl, coming to San Diego between his engagements in New York and Chicago, how lucky we are! You will enjoy Bach, Paganini, Pavel’s own arrangements, and more! Our audience is the most attentive, expressive, and fun. Our  Czech homemade sweets are out of this world, our host is passionate and energetic,  the violin is blue, all in all, you want to meet us in our cozy historical hall on the last Sunday of September! 

Pavel Šporcl graduated from Prague Conservatory and from the prestigious Academy of Music in Prague (HAMU), and later studied at Juilliard with Itzhak Perlman and the famed violin teacher, Dorothy DeLay. 

Master of 40 violin concertos and most of the Czech violin repertoire, Pavel recorded over 20 albums, played in most European concert halls with many excellent orchestras, and goes beyond his calling as a violinist. He devotes his energy and passion to making classical music accessible for children and young people by establishing a successful TV program for children, presiding over several violin competitions, and attending schools with fascinating educational programs.  Such effort earned him a prestigious United Nations  ‘Torch-Bearer Award’ reserved for humanitarian work,  honouring his tireless effort and putting him next to other awardees as Billie Jean King.

Pavel enjoys going beyond the classical repertoire, presenting folk music, original Czech theatre music, and passionate gypsy  tunes presented with his sought-after “Gipsy Fire” band.

And the blue violin? That is one of the finest contemporary instruments! It originates from a world-renowned Czech luthier shop headed by Jan B. Špidlen, the fifth generation of luthiers!
