About this Event

Staged Reading of Toothy's Treasure: A New Musical Comedy

April 20th at A.R.T. Brooklyn's South Oxford Space (The Great Room)

Runtime 1 hour 40 minutes.

Suitable for all ages.

ABOUT THE SHOW: Toothy’s Treasure is a swashbuckling musical adventure following a crew of eccentric pirates sailing to find a modern day treasure. When trouble strikes, the crew’s rookie comes forth as the perfect protagonist who can lead the way with classic underdog heroism… or so it seems, until that protagonist is abruptly killed off in the first scene. With no hero to hold the team together, the crew turns to the audience for volunteers with “main-character energy” to guide their way to the treasure.

Toothy's Treasure will be premiering at the SoHo Playhouse Lighthouse Series on April 30th, May 2nd, and May 5th. This first round is "audience vote", and the winner of the festival gets an Off-Broadway run! If you buy a ticket to our SoHo Playhouse show, you can come to our Staged Readings at The Tank and A.R.T. Brooklyn for free! Email a receipt to [email protected] and we'll add you to the list.
