The Back Room is proud to welcome Tony Saunders, who has just released a song with Gerald Albright called "Return Of The Mack." He will showcase his new band, which features Vernon Hall on bass (Tony Toni Tone), John Mitchell on drums, Bay Area great Tim Landis on guitar, and Rhay Roland on keys.
They are currently working on a new CD for Baja/TSR Records, which will be Tony's 8th solo album. The band will be playing music from his catalog, which includes chart-topping hits "Rock Steady" and "And The Beat Goes On," "Bigger Than Outside," and "Chasing The Dream," which has almost 4 million streams.
Tony is excited to play The Back Room, which is just down the street from the old Keystone Berkeley, where he played with his dad, Merl Saunders, and Jerry Garcia. Tony has performed with the Hawkins Family, Stevie Wonder, David Crosby, Joe Sample, Chaka Kahn, Joe Lewis Walker and Eric Clapton. This will be a night of great music.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Children under 12 are free. Advance tickets are available here, or if the show is not sold out, you may purchase your tickets at the door before the show.
Doors open 30 minutes before show time. We accept cash or Venmo only at the door.
The Back Room is an all-ages, BYOB (for those 21+) space, dedicated to (mostly) acoustic music of all kinds. You are welcome to bring your own food and beverages. The venue is ADA accessible. If you need more information or have any questions, please call us: #510-381-1997.
