Please join us as The Jimmie Hale Mission board of directors and leadership staff will recognize former executive director Tony Cooper for his distinguished service to the organization in a special ceremony at the men’s center downtown on June 15 at 10 a.m.

For more than 29 years Cooper helped further grow the Mission into one of the most recognized and respected nonprofit organizations in central Alabama. He spearheaded the development of the Royal Pines and Jessie’s Place facilities, the incorporation of education remediation and job readiness centers at each site, and the relocation of the men’s center campus. He was instrumental in transitioning the Mission from an overnight shelter into a program-based life rehabilitation environment that has since impacted countless thousands of people.

The appreciation event will begin with a brief presentation from Mission board chairwoman Dr. JeFreda R. Brown and vice-chair Perryn Carroll under the gazebo at the heart of campus. The celebration will then move to the dining hall where a special unveiling will take place to honor the long-time leader. A reception will follow.
