The legendary crooner comes to Shrewsbury Abbey as part of his Great Farewell Tour. Performing with a band of world class musicians including a string quartet, Tony will be performing tracks from across his career, from the trademark mega hit ‘Is This The Way To Amarillo’ through to other classics including ‘Avenues & Alleyways’, ‘Walk Like A Panther’, ‘Las Vegas’, ‘I Did What I Did For Maria’, ‘Thank You For Being A Friend’ and many more, as well as show stopping covers from the late greats that helped shape the career of this humble veteran from Yorkshire.
Tony Christie has been entertaining audiences around the world for over 5 decades with his incredible showmanship, his unmistakable powerful vocal and an impressive set list that packs a real punch. Tony's new album ‘A New Life’ is also out now, recorded in Nashville where he has re-imagined his biggest hits and fan-favourite album tracks in a country style.
