ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Tim Gent
Tim Gent is an artist and songwriter from Clarksville, Tennessee, known for his introspective lyrics and soulful, genre-blending sound. He gained early recognition with his mixtape Clarksville Nights and single “Lady America” (feat. Drisana DeSpain), which topped Spotify’s U.S. Viral 50 and caught the attention of major outlets like NPR and Hot New Hip Hop.
Building on this momentum, Tim released his jazz-influenced album Life Away From Home, which earned praise from Lyrical Lemonade, named Best Hip Hop Project by Nashville Scene, and featured in the film The Violent Heart. Tim’s dynamic live shows have captivated audiences, from sold-out performances at Nashville's Exit/In to opening for legends like Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, Freddie Gibbs, EARTHGANG, and Playboi Carti.
A versatile songwriter, Tim signed with Dr. Luke’s Prescription Songs, securing placements in Creed III, Grey’s Anatomy, and brand campaigns for Taco Bell and Frito-Lay. He’s collaborated with artists like Tone Stith, Chiiild, Baby Rose and Joy Oladokun, and worked with top producers like Tay Keith, Ron Gilmore and Go Grizzly.
Tim’s EP, In Every Fall, reflected on personal and global challenges, with standout tracks like “A New Day,” featured as ESPN’s Song of the Month and “Unbelievable” highlighted on Apple’s Ebro’s Discovered.
Despite all the press, it was an unfinished demo that truly turned heads. The leaked track “MLB (Make Love Baby),” a dynamic gem with clever punchlines and infectious melodies, caught the attention of both fans and industry insiders. MLB was officially released on Valentine’s Day 2025 in partnership with gamma., founded by Larry Jackson and Ike Youssef. Tim celebrated its release with a packed-out showcase at Harriet’s Nashville while MLB has made its way to major playlists like Fresh Finds (Spotify) and Breaking R&B (Apple), as well as local radio stations 101.1 The Beat (iHeart) and WNXP (NPR).
This summer Tim goes on the road as direct support for Akeem Ali’s “The Good Looking Tour” with Sold Out dates throughout June!
