This interactive discussion is all about different woods, tone production, guitar making, and the unique bracing pattern found inside all Solstice acoustic guitars.
Different wood species sound and feel different when you tap on them. This is ultimately conveyed through their musical voice as an instrument. The vibrational character and response can be felt as we interact with the material. Luthiers tap and test pieces of wood to discern these traits prior to selecting and working with them.
Join me at the Solstice shop for an evening about trees, wood cuts, and sound production. You’ll get to feel and listen to different woods in the raw and experience their various qualities.
