Sergio Díaz De Rojas is a Peruvian pianist and composer based in Düsseldorf, Germany. Raised in a family of artists, Sergio’s musical journey began under the guidance of his great-aunt Elsa, who introduced him to Bach and Chopin at the age of eleven.
Though classically trained in his youth, Sergio’s artistic trajectory took a transformative turn during his university years. The discovery of musicians like Nils Frahm, Max Richter and Ólafur Arnalds sparked a revelation, inspiring him to venture into composition. His horizons further expanded as he fell in love with genre-hopping musicians like Sufjan Stevens, whose album
“Carrie & Lowell” profoundly affected him, and Keaton Henson, whose 2014 collaborative album “Romantic Works” inspired him to craft his debut record.
