On Saturday, September 27, join representatives from New Jersey Natural Gas and community action agencies at the Church of Grace and Peace (1563 Old Freehold Rd.) in Toms River, N.J. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to learn about grants to help pay your energy bills. You’ll receive in-person assistance with the eligibility and application process. Income guidelines are higher than you might expect. For example, a family of four with a household income of up to $153,000 may qualify. To apply for assistance, customers must bring:
• Social Security cards for all household members.
• Government-issued ID for applicant.
• Proof of income for all household members over the age of 18.
• Deed or rental lease.
• Recent natural gas and electricity bills.
