Come join us for a nature / bird watching hike in Toronto's Tommy Thompson Conservation Area. We will meet in the Parking lot at 1 Leslie Street, Toronto at 8am. From there we will proceed to the Lighthouse at the bottom of the Leslie Street Spit. This will be a slow paced hike on well maintained and reasonably flat trails. It will be approximately 8km in total. there are a few porta potty washrooms along the walk.We will focus largely on late migrating birds. As well, this location is a very good location to see some of the winter ducks which congregate here on Lake Ontario. Hawk Watch will be well underway and we might have opportunities to view migration of the Hawks, Eagles and Falcons.
We will have great views of the Toronto Harbour from the spit.
This is a free event
a maximum of 20 participants would be great.
