Tom Wintringham: An English Revolutionary?

The life of Thomas Wintringham - activist, writer, poet and soldier - cuts across the tumultuous middle of the 20th century, and the critical years of the struggle against fascism across the globe. And yet his life remains obscured by bigger names. John Concagh will explore his life, ambitions and writings, placing Wintringham - who is sometimes called "The Last English Revolutionary" - within our island story.

John Concagh is an MA student at King's College London, specialising in British and Imperial History in the mid-20th century. He is currently an intern at the Basil Liddell-Hart Archive.
