Internationally award-winning saxophonist/composer Tom Thorp presents his new quintet ILUMETRIS and their exciting new album: Here, There be Monsters… Blending fiery, virtuosic jazz improvisations with complex texture and poignant lyricism, ILUMETRIS celebrate the creatures and characters of world mythology through engaging musical narrative. Joining Tom’s distinctive saxophonic voice, the unique sound of trumpeter Neil Yates and an energetic, endlessly engaging rhythm section of Andy Stamatakis-Brown (Alice Zawadski, Manchester Jazz Collective, Gypsies of Bohemia), Grant Russell (Go-Go Penguin) and John Arnesen (Ancient Infinity Orchestra).
